Yeah, it isn't illegal to encourage people to execute their right to protest. The former Acting SecDef said he didn't cause the attack on the Capitol building. If you want to say he is guilty of causing violence when he only encouraged a protest, you have a lot of other cases to look back on, such as all the violent protests we had for the last few years.

Honestly, you're looking at a case where the ACLU would probably defend Trump if your cornerstone is this testimony.

It isn't illegal to encourage /peaceful/ protests. What Trump did was whip a mob into a frenzy, directed them to Congress and they proceeded to break in, deface our highest institutions, assault police officers and committed countless other crimes. The dude is a contributor to every single one of those crimes, in addition to high crimes. Period.

Just because the 100% peaceful protests turned into 97% peaceful protests doesn't mean Trump bears that responsibility. That's not at all how the law works. I know butt-hurt Democrats such as you wish that is how the law works, well not really, that's how you wish the law works specifically for Trump and Republicans, but it's not. Democrats haven't managed to completely make a mockery of our legal system yet, give them a decade or two of complete control though and I'm sure they'll fuck that shit up too.

Where did Trump tell people to be violent? Where di he tell them to storm the Capitol? Again, you're working on a slippery slope here, because if Trump is guilty of something here, so are a lot of other people at other protests turn riot.

No, that's exactly how inciting a riot works.

No, it's really not. If you're suggesting anytime someone says something and in turn people riot after said speech then the speech giver is guilty of incitement then you are dumb and there are thousands of people, including most of the current Democrat members of congress, who need to be in jail right now.

OH shit, time to lock up the entire Susan G Komen Race for the Cure foundation because some people showed up to their event and started fighting and breaking stuff.

I mean, you do realize you're implicating EVERY protest organizer (where people got retarded at the event) ever right?

You equate that to "Hey, go attack the US Capitol building."?

Wow you're reaching harder than Twitter is now.

Any 2 year old knows he meant fight in the abstract sense, he didn't call for people to physically engage in combat. Stop embarrassing yourself already.

So anytime someone uses the word "fight" in a speech and people get a little rowdy the speech giver is responsible for incitement to violence? Do you realize how crazy you are sounding right now?
