Thread: Protesters block Trump's Mt Rushmore visit

Default Protesters block Trump's Mt Rushmore visit

Native American (WINK!) protesters drove vans in the middle of all roads leading to Mt Rushmore and either removed the tires or slashed them all to make it difficult to move them.

Mt. Rushmore itself is nearly empty (compared to how full it has been in past years) at the moment.

Apparently local police watched the protesters do all of this and did nothing and now the National Guard has been called in to remove the obstructions.

I wonder what tomorrow's CNN headline will read like.

"Trump can't even get 1000 people to attend his racist fireworks show at Mt Rushmore!"

All while they never mention the fact that lawless cretins literally illegally blocked the roads.

What's with the wink, racist? Don't believe those were the black hills Sioux protesting use of their sacred lands?

Nah. They definitely mentioned it. Road was only blocked briefly, it was more of a statement than anything. I mean, what can you do when your lands have been taken from you and your populations laid to waste? Make a little show of a protest now and then I guess. Run a casino and try to take money from round-eye?

Don't bother answering. Don't care what you think, racist.

Ah, the last resort (apparently now the first resort) of the losing side in an argument is to call someone a racist. Might as well throw in some Godwin's Law there, and call him a Nazi, as well.

Nah, I see no evidence of nazi-ism in his posts. I do however see racism in his posts every day. But cool story, bro.

The Lakota-Sioux arrived in the West after being on the losing end of a war with other tribes in Minnesota in the late 1700s. Known as the Lakota, or simply the Sioux, they waged genocidal war on other tribes before they took over the Black Hills from the Cheyenne
    Whose sacred land?

The Sioux were like the NAZI Indians of the great plains.

If you want to get a solid understanding of what was going on during the expansion into the west, there are numerous books that use journals from people that were a part of it. It was not as simple as "the white man came and genocided the indians".

Yeah, it's not a falsely applied label if it's accurate.

    Too obvious, gaslight better.

The Sioux are not a representative of all native Americans. Just go up into NW Montana and see how well these tribes get along, they don't.

I did not suggest that the Sioux represent any other Native Americans, let alone all of them. I'm simply responding to the OP saying WINK after Native Americans, as if they were not in fact Native Americans. Or Americans at all. Or whatever he'll say he meant by it.
