We've just updated all daggers to receive this bonus instead so people are free to customize the appearance of their daggers as they choose.

The difference apparently was equivalent to 10 dex bonus for the skinning forumla. Ouch.

It's funny because they could have just made the change without telling anyone and no one would have been the wiser. To my knowledge everyone has always thought daggers gave you a boost but I don't think anyone ever dreamed the noun had to be "knife."Originally Posted by Taernath
Maybe Simu will just start giving us formulas for all of these systems now. Heck it would be cool to actually see some of these formulas. Let us be able to toggle something so we can see the skinning formula every time we skin something.

Through meager testing years ago I suspected this, and have always used a trail knife from the stand in Solhaven NM for skinning. Nice to see it validated.

Extra spawning for this would be pretty awesome. And giving extra XP absorption for rubbing a smooth stone.
