Fame Gain: creature kill or creature damage?

Fame is an all or nothing thing, right? There's no situations that would cause you to get less fame or something?

Is fame gained based on doing the kill shot or doing enough damage to a creature to get full XP from it, even if someone else kills it?

I don't know, but it would be quite an easy thing to test.

If you did enough to get exp from it, you should get the fame too if I'm not mistaken.

This should be super simple to test, as fame is granted instantly when the critter dies/gets looted, and is based on only the critter's level, i.e. something level 99 is worth 990 fame, 100 is worth 1k fame, etc.

I'll do some testing. Haven't paid attention to fame in forever and wasn't aware it was instant.
