Plat is apparently serious fucking business.
Plat is apparently serious fucking business.
You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.
It’s not that there’s anything wrong with it. It’s that I don’t believe you. And I literally can’t tell the difference between you and your “mom’s” writing.
And said advice was met with (paraphrased) “But I need money now.” I don’t believe you’re separate people either. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’m not wrong.17. I don't have two (or any, at the moment) accounts, Methais. You're referring to my mother when she confided in you, and I'm quite surprised since you seemed very helpful to her with advice on hunting with the wizard. I only ever had one Platinum account on which I was first known as Lutika, later retiring them to focus on playing Tsukiko until I left.
No kidding. Snippets from LNET this evening:
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "BTW, everything everyone has said about Graka/Lutika on that PC thread = 100% true"
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "And he left stuff out, TBH."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Yeah, I play Plat and I've been a witness to the whole thing."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Graka started being a problem at EG last year. He would whine and cry every time he didn't win a raffle and ask people to donate stuff to him or give him stuff because he was new and poor."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "He became a BIG problem when he started claiming loans items were gifts."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Someone loaned him some fully unlocked Voln armor and he refused to give it back."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "It took, like, five of us intervening until he finally returned it."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "And that's been a pattern. Claiming loans were gifts. Trying to sell stuff that didn't belong to him, or getting a gift from someone and immediately trying to sell it."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Eventually Plat just wanted him gone, but for whatever reason, he's only ever said Josh did it to him."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "The straw that broke the camel's back was when he started begging for GoA because he was disabled and too poor to keep playing. He said Chris in billing told him to solicit donations."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Anyway, he finally got himself banned from the Plat Discord. So he cried on the official server to the point GMs had to intervene on multiple occasions to stop him."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "At least one GM blocked him on Discord as welll."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "He then started making new accounts to get on the Plat Discord, only to give himself away and get banned."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "He even INSTALLED A SLEEPER ACCOUNT on the server in anticipation of getting booted."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Basically, he made an account, joined the Plat server, then didn't touch it for several months so nobody suspected it was him."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Oh, and the part where he says he left Platinum?"
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "That's a lie."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "He roleplays all his characters the same way and is the thirstiest merchant hound I've ever seen, so we know it's him whenever he makes a new character."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "That he talked trash about Tamriel_Mom is ridiculous. She's the nicest, most civil person around."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "She did block him because he would not stop crying about selling his stuff to her and what a deal she got."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "There's no way two people use that particular syntax and emoticon style."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "I don't necessarily doubt he's being honest about what he sells. His story about HMC is a total lie but he's smart enough to know he can't misrepresent what he's selling."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Like, he won GHOUL at EG this year. Gave the prize to Tanai."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Then, like a week later, asked for her to pay him."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Then asked her to GoA him for the prize in exchange."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "He doesn't get bullied, he gets isolated because everyone who deals with him ends up wanting nothing to do with him."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "Anyway, I look forward to him trying to beg his way back into the Plat server again real soon."
[LNet]-GSIV:Sarmoya: "We do. There are players who, when they discover his newest alt, immediately warn interact."
High Maintenance Fortybox just arrived.
Fortybox glances at you.
You suddenly feel an itch...down there.
It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...
You mentally feel a moment of panic as you realize that you're now known as a High Maintenance Character and Wyrom has issued a No Contact Order on you.
...departing in 10 mins...
The wizard this thread is about was mine. I began him in 2009 and leveled him to 15.4m. He is exactly as described in the first post. I sold him to the OP three weeks ago, with shop and gear, for $1200. There were no problems with the payment. A week after I sold him the wizard, he asked me if I would buy it back or mind if he sold it, and I told him I wasn't looking to buy it back and to go ahead and sell it. In the middle of his trying to sell it, the account he had put the wizard on got hit with HMC status because it was linked to his other account. I don't know the history of the Plat situation or who's in the right, but I do know he paid me promptly and I didn't have any trouble.
As to whether the OP is actually disabled and is telling the truth, I recognize him from several passing interactions over the last several years, during which he has multiple times asked my advice on ranger training and has told me the same disability story and about how he plays Gemstone for distraction from it. As a result, my read on the disability angle is that he's legitimately disabled and is telling the truth. From my interactions with him, I believe he simply over-invests emotionally in Gemstone and makes mistakes in interpersonal relationships as a result of anxiety over it.
The OP PM'd me and offered me the shop back for free this evening before he canceled his accounts. Again, I don't know the full story behind all of this, but I wish him the best and hope that a break from Gemstone is beneficial.

Why didn't anyone tell me there was so much drama going on in this thread?
