I got it a few days ago. It has a lot of the best features from CK2's DLC so you're not missing a ton if you transition over.

The big change is the lifestyle system, which has been remade into a sort of perk-based skill tree that you earn XP for. I like it a lot since your progression is able to be planned out and tracked, rather than relying primarily on random dice rolls or events.

The map also contains India (which previously was a DLC) and extends a little further east to encompass some Khmer/Burma/Myanmar provinces, the entirety of Mongolia, and more of China. With how much extra blank space there is to the east, I suspect they'll eventually add all of China and probably Japan at some point.

Overall it's enjoyable, but feels a little more like an RPG rather than a dynasty or empire sim since you are managing far more personal stats and progression this time around. There isn't a ruler designer or a Secret Societies DLC equivalent yet which feels like a big omission, since being an immortal berserker laying waste to the northlands was by far my favorite playthrough in CK2.

It isn't bad. Be prepared for a DLCpaloozea, like all Paradox games.

First will probably be ruler designer like it was for CK2, especially given the RPG focus of CK3. Then probably some music stuff since the base music kind of sucks. There will definitely be new start dates. I haven't really played much beyond Ireland>Britannia but there isn't much difference with cultural stuff so that will be along at some point.

There is a mod where you essentially design your own ruler already. You can make him OP as fuck.

Started playing this over the weekend on my 2016 xps 13 with 6th Gen i5, integrated graphics, and 4k screen. Still working on the tutorial but seems to run very well.

Looks like Civilization 5 on steroids. How do you like it?

Quite a bit different from Civ games. You don't found cities and such for instance, they aren't even your focus. You focus on basically spreading your semen all over Eurasia.
