Hi everybody,

I've released a set of updates to the pack/miniboss/boss creature systems, including the following things:

Several new boons that can be granted
Some tweaks to the existing boons
An update to ASSESS to show you all of the boon hints on a creature
Some new adjectives to describe the boons
An update to keep minibosses from piling up if they're avoided/missed
A slight bump to the minimum strength of minibosses
A Long-Term Experience reward for defeating pack, miniboss, and boss creatures

So, what are "boons" and "boon hints"? Some kind of Boost?

So far I have gotten exp between 30-75 for killing them.

Apparently, it is not a boost you get. But the exp dumped straight into yer LTE pool.

Is this good or at least decent? How much LTE can you have at once?

Also, is there a list of all the shit these things can have now?

Not worth it for constructs if you are a magic user, but any extra exp if you hunt the bosses is more than you got previously. No limit on LTE that I have seen, I've had a few thousand at once.

games already hard (read as infuriatingly annoying sometimes) enough as is especially for newer players. making it even more tedious with these “immune to everything self rezzing super duper” critters is just poor judgement and a scam to get us moving higher up the gear chain (read as: spend more at Dusk you fucks!)

It’s not a “conspiracy theory” . Conspiracy would need to involve an organization, a large(r) one. GemStone and Simu is not that, we’re not WoW or even one of the smaller mmos, we’re a few hundred players with decent disposable incomes playing an out-moded format rpg mmo.

In such a case, if one person (in this case Wyrom) were to relieve us of said disposable income this would be one of many levers he can pull to get us spending.

I also know I can see this issue more objectively than you since I don’t have thousands of dollars on the line. No worries, I’m not attacking your assets, I’m just pointing out that what we’ve got with Simu and Wyrom’s trajectory with the game is A.) not normal B.) unsustainable.

Just don’t be super shocked or go nuts because one day you wake up and on the GemStone frontpage there’s a “message from Simu” that the game will close shop by the end of the month. That’s all, I want people to play responsibly. Look at Beld, after our long talk he’s finally quit and/or drastically scaled back his spending on the game. A responsible, adult move on his part.

If you aren't hitting maximum numbers of beating off while playing Gemstone, you're doing one of the two wrong.
