    Default Russian Submarine damaged in/near Alaskan Waters

    Confirmed: 14 Russians killed/injured in Submarine incident near or possibly in Alaskan waters.

    Unconfirmed: The damage was caused by a US submarines torpedo.

    Well this can't be true. Putin wouldn't order US subs to attack a Russian sub.

    The source on it being a US Submarine attacking the Russian one is very, very shaky. A Russian nuclear sub in or near Alaskan waters did have a major fire that caused the deaths of 14 sailors though.

    It is more likely it caught on fire by itself. The Russian Navy is complete shit.

    Yes. That 40 year period after WW2 where there was the largest military buildup in recorded history between two superpowers was all made up by the press because it was a slow news century. :P

    Duh. That's why it was underwater. Water puts fire out, so the further underwater you are, the faster it gets to the fire when the hull breaches. Edit: Plus in Armageddon, it was the Russian guy, not the Americans, who knew how to fix the equipment and save earth. With a bigass wrench and a can-do attitude.
