    I would never pay 180 grand for a map. Unless I had lots of cash. Then I probably would. I'd totally have a map room.

    I bought a book about 100 years old that is maps of the US which I love. I LOVE maps. Makes me feel very indiana jones.

    edit to add: I perhaps will take a few choice photos of it. It looks like a book of the map you purchased, along with some homey stuff about agriculture and the like on random pages.

    It's centered on Jerusalem, which was believed the be the center of the world. North is to the left, noted as "Septentriales," Latin for the seven northern stars (the Big Dipper, but then called the Wagon or Plough usually). It mostly shows the Mediterranean region. I've never seen one quite like it before. Very cool.
