Elanthian Elegance are hosting an evening of music and poetry to raise funds for the Mist Harbor Militia Safehaven Project. All interested parties are invited to share their talents or simply gather to enjoy the performances under the stars in the Ceiluir Glade on the Isle of Four Winds. Dress code is formal and refreshments will be provided. Donation notes accepted from any bank.

That's one way to look at it. Another is that it's an exclusive (premium) event benefiting a worthy (premium) cause.

One of my accounts is premium, but it sits wrong with me when RP events exclude half or more of the playerbase. RP is the one thing relatively untouched by the cash-grab mentality. No real reason to add it.

From an IC perspective, non-premium characters have never been to FWI and probably don't know much about FWI or the Mist Harbor Safehaven Project (or even care).
If you have an issue with premium itself, then fine. Just let EE run their events as they want.
