Help with MacBook playing

Oh God has this been a total nightmare.
I did everything we're told to do to install GS and Lich from the wiki and basically every problem you've already seen explained, I got.
Doug from the officials has been helping but he's away a lot and I don't want to disturb him really.

So until I hear from him again, my only means of being able to play are using Avalon (basically wizard, I don't mind) and zero lich (I do mind).

The only issue I have now is probably really simple. .
When I try to set up macros for hunting, stances etc the macro settings screen says a lot of macro keys are 'reserved' and I can't make them into 'command' + W (example).
It just reverts to 'reserved'.

So now I can't actually play just using Avalon either! :S
My head is spinning with it all and wondered if someone can simply help with the macro setting side of things. ~Perhaps its a simple fix but I've walked away from it for now as ~I can't get anywhere.

I'm also playing on a Mac and had all sorts of issues too. I finally gave up and just installed a VM with Windows and now I play on that.

yes I've downloaded Vbox and win 10 - the only problem is when I run it it feels like I'm destroying my MacBook haha. I can't imagine running 2 OS's is a good thing.

Hello and welcome back. My recommendation is to buy an actual computer. You can get one for $50 on eBay that will work out of the box and run Gemstone better than anything you can set up on a Macbook. Here you go:
