    Default Skinning Wizard

About to hit 20 in the next day. How viable is it to have a skinning wizard? I'd like to be able to get my own leather/hides for cobbling. Is it okay to 1x First Aid/Survival?

Currently just training as a pure. Would love suggestions on lore trains too.

Definitely viable as a wizard, there are classes that skin better but don't let that put you off.

Very true, pelts are the main source of income for Askip.

Set up a macro get my knife\rskin \? left\rput my knife in my sheath\r and you will not even need to put your runestaff away.

    Go for it!

Funny timing on your post, I left my knife in the locker today and found myself skinning war griffins barehanded. I skinned three in a row before noticing and going back for the knife, zero botches.

    Heh.

I skin since a long time ago. 1x survival and 1x first aid. I may even say wizard are the BEST farmers because:

    Cons:

We don't aim, so we MAY hurt the skin

    Pro:

Steam is so high damage, often 2 casts and critter's dead. If you're lucky, you won't get the value place
Rapidfire hunting = you kill faster, more skins
We can farm a lot since we can 516
Hunting with mana = no RT involved with encombrement.

If you're underhunting for skins, 519 will often kill them with just the concussion damage, guaranteeing no injuries.

I rack up on fog beetle skins like this when I'm doing Greymist bandits on Teras.
