Didn't you grow up on NES games? This should be cakewalk

Oh boy does this game get wild.

Spending a lot of time with Hanbei the Undying in Free Combat (Applied) really helped me get acclimated to the combat.

I sure did. I rarely beat them outside of JRPGs, heh.

I will more than likely pick the game up at a later date. Just not on my friend's dime.

Two major (read: achievement/trophy) bosses in. The first boss was fairly easy once I figured out how to stop a certain ridiculous move. The second was a real test, and I'm finding out that a lot of people are coming across that one before the other one. I might have ragequit, too, if I had taken that route first. Yikes.

I had to stop. When my controller started to audibly creak in my hand, I gotta put the game down for a while.

I stopped being a bitch and picked the game up again. I doubt i'll ever beat it looking at some of the later bosses, but I should at least try. So far i'm grinding out ninja and prosthetic skills, and exploring as far as I can without engaging any major bosses. I have firecrackers, flame barrel, axe, and shurikan. I think I can get to a gourde seed or two before facing a major boss. I'll target all the minibosses I can and try to get a health upgrade or 4 before tackling some of the more notorious ones, but there is no sense in throwing away hours until I have all applicable advantages.

Like any game, play it, have fun, and put it down when it stops being fun. Aaaaaayyy, kinda like GemStone.
