Who knows? What I see now is that BS sales have been tanking, who knows whats going on there. Maybe demand is finally drying up. Maybe the so called rich whalers have filled up on crit weighting and blink flares?

My recommendation is to just play the game for what it is and one day if you get on and you’re not feeling it or you’re fed up with the cash grab or whatever uninstall and move on. (and honestly, although I haven’t done it yet, my gut tells me that last bit about quitting/uninstalling is how you really win at GemStone.)

Not a lot of real new items the last 2 runs
They started hilariously inflating costs to milk even more script (old and and busted: 6x fully "unlocked" nervestaves for like 30k bloodscrip...new hotness. ironwright flares for ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS)
People have stockpiles of hundreds of thousands or millions of bloodscrip already so it's defaulting back to the same problem the silver market had
The arena was nerfed to shit and it is way, way, way easier to cap out scrip gain now than the first runs

What is dying slowly is the secondary market for items. Simu took too much of the pie back with Bloodscript and it is changing the way that people view items. There is a small market for those willing to trade the overpriced items amongst each other but it is tiny compared to the number of people that used to take part in secondary items sales. At the end of the day it doesn't really change much, I simply focus all of my attention on a small number of godlike items that I know I can never recover my money from. The days of endless project pieces and hording things for some future build are long gone for me, perhaps others have more disposable income and can continue unimpeded.
