Can anyone please enlighten me on how Iron Skin (1202) works for non-native casters (wizard)?
1. When casting iron skin, do the properties of the robes you are wearing carry over? That is to say, if my robes are 7x HCP, T5 ensorcelled with acid flares, at the base spell would I now be considered wearing full leathers that are 7x HCP, T5 ensorcelled with acid flares?
2. With 100 ranks in Transformation Lore, I believe that robes would become cuirbouilli leathers. Would I be considered in cuirbouilli leathers for defensive purposes (crit divisor, CVA), but have the action penalty and spell hindrance of robes?
If you have the AP and hindrance of robes but all of the protection of cuirbouilli leather, this seems to be pretty powerful. Granted it's no small investment at 4000 PTPs for those Transformation Lore ranks. But I'm at the point where nothing else seems all that appealing to train in. I don't currently have robes, but by the time I get those 4000 PTPs I should have some sweet robes.
