When those people chanted "send her back" about US citizen and democratically elected congresswoman Ilhan Omar they were being un-American.

While Omar was not born here she was brought here by her family seeking asylum from hardships in Somalia. Despite this Omar worked her ass off and got elected to Congress to represent Minnesota. She is the American dream.

Not really. She won when she was selected by the DFL. They have held that district since the '60s. She also replaced a black male Muslim who held the office prior to retiring.
