I dunno. Recent history at least has Ross Perot. He pushed something like 20% of the vote in '92. That's insane for an independent. You get the right independent in there and I think they could pull an upset victory in this kind of political climate. Trust in the government is (and I have no stats to back this up, just educated guessing) at an all time low.

I mean, there's no one off the top of my head I could name that could be that person right now, but I mean..Ross Perot's main deal was that he was a gojillionaire and wanted to be President. You get somebody passionate and charismatic? That upset is there to happen. We elected a fucking reality TV star simply because the other options within the parties were shit.

Edit to add: I just did a basic search to see if I was anywhere near correct with my public trust comment. Dunno how legitimate this site is but it seems fairly on the level - http://www.people-press.org/2017/12/...ent-1958-2017/

Oh, my bad. I was pretty sure that you've stated that you're a partially disabled vet. You don't get any benefits?

I get 30% for facial scars. I hardly consider that welfare since, you know, did something for it.

And if they completely got rid of VA disability, or turned it all into one lump sum or whatever, it wouldn't really bother me. I never asked for it, nor did I expect it.

Did your dad come at you with a knife and say "LET'S PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!"?

Strictly speaking, that's welfare. It's like disability. A continuing payment for a one time injury. I figured you'd exempt yourself from your own plan to make disabled people work when if they could work, they would already be working.

eta: I guess I take issue with your broad use of the word welfare when you really mean only certain types of welfare.

I'm not sure you know your mainstream liberals like you think you do. Those all sound very familiar... with the exception of wi-fi health problems.

And he got 43% because he was going against Clinton. Even Democrats hated that bitch.

So is Rob Riggle. He also is allowed to make references to Batman movies.

None of this has anything to do with the number of children a person has.
I'm still confused. I was just talking about Warren's plan... not some pie in the sky plan where if you get welfare, you need to work for the government to get it.
