Thread: Anyone familiar with scripted barbutes?

Default Anyone familiar with scripted barbutes?

    Here's the problem:

    Code:
You reach inside one of the containers hanging from the leather harness and grab the dwarven armoire.
    J>
An ornate mithril aventail flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A fine gold pendant flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A beryl-inset pewter earcuff flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A bone and illthorn phylactery flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A studded wide leather belt with a square buckle flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A golvern-link wristguard flies off of your person and into the armoire.
A fire pearl inset ora necklace flies off of your person and into the armoire.
Some thick vultite leg greaves fly off of your person and into the armoire.
A murky blue matted barbute remains hidden from the armoire's magic.
    J>
You toss the dwarven armoire into one of the containers hanging from your leather harness.
It's a helm and no matter what I do it doesn't show up in my inventory and doesn't work with the armoire, and I really want to store in the armoire. I could find nothing on wiki about, but from searching the forums I've learned that it's an older style scripted helm of some sort that predates Viola items (whatever those are)... but no mentioned of any verbs or how to unhide it (if that's even possible). After trying a bunch of verbs all I found was this:

    Code:
    J>pull barb
    J>
You pull down the visor of your blue matted barbute.
    J>pull barb
You lift the visor of your blue matted barbute.
    J>
But this does nothing to hide/unhide or change its appearance in any way.

    Analyze:

    Code:
The creator has also provided the following information:

The barbute does not have any custom feature settings. It can have up to four.

When adding custom feature settings, it will be just like altering your hair quirk (or unique line if you're bald). An example would be:

tucked under a murky blue matted barbute, which is tightly knotted in the back.
He has a murky blue matted barbute covering his bald head.
with a murky blue matted barbute placed at the crown of his head.
He has a murky blue matted barbute placed at the crown of his bald head.

Please note, that if you have the custom settings made for someone bald, it won't look right for someone with hair, and vice versa. You also can't wear this with another hair quirk/unique field altering item to change your features. This item isn't limited to just bandana-type items, it can also be a crown, tiara, visored helm, or something similar.

      Custom feature 1: None.
      Custom feature 2: None.
      Custom feature 3: None.
      Custom feature 4: None.

You can tell that the barbute is as light as it can get.

These helms change your "hair" feature line. Not sure why they don't work with the armoire, but I hope that helps. They're commonly referred to as Cidolfus or Pirate Bandanas, even though they obviously come in a lot more flavors than just "bandana." https://gswiki.play.net/Pirate_bandana
You remove a pair of oval ora-framed spectacles with pale grey lenses from in your ebon linen vest.

You unfold the earpieces of your spectacles.

You put on a pair of oval ora-framed spectacles with pale grey lenses.

You think to yourself, "Deal with it."

Jimi Hendrix forgot to turn off his scripted barbutes and then died.
