I have noticed that seems to be the underlying theme for most on the left.

Mexico might pay for it. They're paying for our wall and all. Maybe they're feeling charitable. For real though, the answer is obvious. It's just unspoken. Nobody ever points out the downsides in politics. Like how everybody always points at Sweden saying "Look! They have all these wonderful services! College is FREE and healthcare for all!" but leave out "and they only have 52% income tax!". For reference, US income tax ranges between I believe 0 and 27%, with the average probably way closer to the former. To pick on Sweden again for another example, when the pro-gun lobby was pointing at them saying "look, they all have assault rifles!" but neglected to point out that they were issued for their militia in lieu of having a large standing army, and while they had rifles, they had no ammunition for those rifles because every round is tightly controlled and only available at ranges.

One of the common themes has been to tax the rich. If you taxed the top 3% 100%, it wouldn't be enough. No, you're going to have to also tax the middle class and poor for this sort of thing. A lot. If you're someone that is constantly sick or injury prone, you're happy. If you aren't, then it will fucking suck.

Also, that is Switzerland with the assault rifles. Sweden has conscription at all times though. Enjoy your freedoms there!

Yeah you're right about sweden\switzerland. I realized that after posting but I was lying in bed already so I figured fuck it. And yeah, here if you make less than like...30k, you're probably paying very close to 0% income tax already. In those super socialist countries, it's like 50% across the board for everybody. In a way, sure, that works. If you're gonna be spending your money on healthcare or college or whatever anyway, it's just kind of like a forced savings account. But yeah that money does have to come from somewhere, and somewhere is out of your pocket.

How does she get the connection that Mary, Joseph and Jesus were refugees? I don't remember that story in the Bible.
Lets all note that PB has tried to slam Ocasio-Cortez for sending out a very positive "Merry Christmas" message.

    Tis the season, PB?

No, she sent out a very politicized and wrong message.

This should be an amazing display of spin.

How do you think her message was politicized and wrong?

A deliberate appeal using religious characters featuring current political issues being brought up by a politician is not politicizing religion?

I need to understand what you consider Religious Politics and Politicized Religion. So please, explain.
