Runestaff with common flares or holy water flares

Just wondering for pure clerics that use a runestaff and that typically hunt undead, is it preferable to bless your runestaff to get the holy water flares, or just use a runestaff with common flares? I'm not counting any special runestaffs like nerve staffs or any mechanical flares. Just comparing your run of the mill runestaffs with common flares vs. holy water flares.

Might as well go with common flares, since you'll get some use out of em if you do hunt living stuff. This is assuming you're using a common flare that will actually hit undead, and not cold or something.

For my cleric, I enchanted one of those T2 nervestaffs up to 7x. It's the best of both worlds -- standard nervestaff flares, plus I can bless it for holy water flares.
