Good article. I suggest you wait patiently. According to this article, the rejected provisional ballots amount to 2 dozen... out of 718,000. All 205 provisional ballots are being held separately. If it turns out the election comes down to 24 votes, they can review the provisional ballots again and reject the 24 that were rejected before, for the same reasons they were rejected before.

Or.. just accept the results as they have already reported.

I agree with the second half of what you're saying, but not all other votes have been counted. Overseas and military votes remain, so accepting the votes as they have already been reported would disenfranchise what I imagine is quite a lot of military and overseas voters.

It's already been reported she "accidentally" mixed in illegal provisional ballots with legal ones and she's now arguing those illegal ones should count. She was supposed to have had a ballot count within 30 minutes after the polls closed so she couldn't days later just magically find more ballots, this is in direct violation of the Florida constitution. She was ordered by a judge to allow outside inspectors in to oversee the counting process and to get a final vote tally by 7PM Thursday or Friday and instead of allowing those people in she called the police on them and had them escorted off the property. There is also talk of how some ballots couldn't be scanned properly or some such shit so she and her crew started filling out new ballots without a canvassing board oversee the process to make sure everything is being done properly, again something that is flat out illegal.

This is being covered by all of the local news while the national "news" such as CNN and MSNBC are claiming nothing is wrong and that if you call out the shit going on in Broward County then you're a racist Nazi.

The evidence and implications couldn't be more clear to someone who isn't a complete partisan hack.

I agree with the second half of what you're saying, but not all other votes have been counted. Overseas and military votes remain, so accepting the votes as they have already been reported would disenfranchise what I imagine is quite a lot of military and overseas voters.

The problem with this is that they've already admitted to negligence. Not only that, but Brenda Snipes has a long history of things like this happening under her watch. So how can you trust that the figures given by her and her staff are true?

Why are you okay with this regardless? This is blatant election tampering. Even if best case scenario she "accidentally" did this (and she has a long record of "accidentally" doing shit like this), it should still worry people that she argued the illegal votes should be counted anyways after she herself added the illegal votes in with the legal votes. Do we want election integrity? Or do we just shrug our shoulders and say "Well...it's ONLY 2 dozen votes. What's the big deal?"

On further review, the election commission decided signatures on two dozen of those ballots weren't clear enough matches to be counted. Meanwhile, ballots from overseas military and such continue to roll in and to be counted. The Florida department of state sees no evidence of criminal activity and there are various election observers in place. Yet, you still somehow think there's rampant voter fraud?

I don't know the history of it, but if so, then the policies should absolutely be reformed. Elections should be above reproach -- and they should also be above bullshit accusations of fraud from partisan actors.

A reasonable question. An unofficial tally was due, and included the error of the 24 votes. I think setting the 205 ballots aside in a separate location so they can be reviewed later was the best way to satisfy the deadline for the unofficial count. The alternatives would be to toss out 205 ballots, or to not meet the deadline and review them again. Do you think one of the alternatives was better?
