It does against demons.

So for demons it needs to be 8x + sanctfied/consecrated?! yikes.

8x blessed/sanctified. It was determined that GUB at 8x still won't work against them, which is why mine doesn't have regular flares... yet.

You 100% confirmed this because weren't you saying otherwise? We've had this discussion at length on discord and I'm pretty sure there was a GM who said something about it not working against demons as well.
