I was first going to place this under politics because of the obvious impacts it will/could have on society as a whole but would rather hear peoples thoughts on the matter under a common subject we all enjoy.

Personally I first started showing interest in this subject when reading some article 4 years ago on nanobots and their future use in medicine. The article also touched on neural lacing possibilities in the coming future.

The thought of an MMORPG using this technology would for me be the ultimate gaming experience.

It also leads to other thoughts such as, are we already living within a "matrix" and are working towards creating another matrix within a matrix?

Would be cool to hear other peoples thoughts.
