You can have Briar Flares with Greater Fire Flares? I thought Greater Flares took both the Flare slot and the Script slot.Originally Posted by Gizmo

It does and you cannot have both briar and greater flare scripts.
It is likelier the bane effect for Grim is fire (not AS) and maybe it has normal flares too. If you see double flares that is on Grim and verify briar script.

Shouldn't be like that stat wise, but I've seen my fair share of broken gear with beneficial aspects or just some pieces that don't fit the normal rules.
Tier 1 briar and tier 2 is absolute booty and terrible flares like less then 20 damage each flare... tier 3 is the only worth a damn

Terrible slash to the black forest ogre's side!
Entrails spill out, onto the ground!
Death can be SO messy.
The light in a black forest ogre's eyes goes out as she collapses and finally dies.
