Default a scrollworked mithril vambrace

    one of them gnomish trap detectors...OTS from a recent DR.

    You analyze your mithril vambrace and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

    The creator has also provided the following information:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
-=Gnomish Mech Locksmith Bracer=-
These items can only be altered within very specific guidelines.
No shows or long descriptions. Only the 15/15/15 may be changed.
Approved nouns: bracer, vambrace, arm-guard.

Only the following can be customized:
Gears - Must be a metal
Casings - Must be a metal
Arms/Banding - Must be a metal
Button - May be a color/wood/metal/gemstone
Gemstone - Must be a translucent gemstone, nothing opaque.

It is completely unlocked and holds 20 lockpicks
It can open boxes with custom messaging with PUSH.
It can now check to see if a box is trapped via RUB.
You can now: WEAR, REMOVE, TURN, TICKLE, SPIN, PUSH, POKE and RUB
--------------------------------------------------------------------
    Gears = iron
    Casings = silver
    Metal Arms/Bands = rolaren
    Button = mithril
    Gemstone = diamond

    The vambrace cannot be deepened.

    You can tell that the vambrace's pockets could not possibly get any deeper, but you might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the mithril vambrace for yo

    I sold mine for 425 cash.

    Thank you both for the input.

    Seems like the main value of these is for someone with weak disarm traps skills to cherry pick boxes having only locks and no traps.

    If you have good disarm trap skills, the extra 5 seconds rate from this thing is going to be pointless. You are not going to miss traps in the first place.
    Your mind is completely fucked. It is imperative that you unfuck immediately!

    My locksmith loved it and I didn’t have it fully unlocked, cut down on having to get lockpicks and put them back. It was just push and win. And as I am saying this I may have to pick another up just because they are fun

    Its great for warriors who just want to bash away at the box. Plus, 5RT is way better than the detect RT.

    I find these invaluable and believe mine have saved me the cost of them many times over. And like Ososis said, they remote the guesswork and reduce the time and mana costs associated with popping and bashing boxes not to mention removing the likelihood of an untimely death from 416 missing a trap.

    Also it seems like only half of the boxes are trapped so even 5 seconds vs 15-20 for a no trap disarm check is still a net gain

    Guessing ;tpick doesnt count the "green light" via vambrace as a no trap.. not going to redo the math but I think this illustrates my point
