Not gonna matter, Kav is going to sit on the bench. What Flake did was some clever political maneuvering. He knows this 1 week long FBI investigation is going to turn up nothing but it’ll discredit Ford and give firing cover for Mukolwski, Collins, Hitkemp and himself. Noone said he was stupid that’s for sure.

As an aside, why the heck does Kavanaugh scrunch up his face like that. Dude looked like a serial rapist more so than Strzok.

Flake doesn't need cover, since he couldn't even muster up enough support for a primary.. so he didn't run.

This will protect Kavanaugh after nomination should the Dems decide to try impeachment. This is actually well played.
