Before I spend some BS on one of these does anyone know how often they flare? is it the standard 15%?

Has anybody tried these out? I’m looking to buy either a parasitic runestaff or a sprite staff, T2 or better. Would like some info before I buy. Will probably be used by a sorc.

If you can't afford 1 unlock I wouldn't bother.

These should be way cheaper for the initial item, since it does next to nothing. Should be like 1k BS.

If they're anything like parasite weapons, T0 and T1 are basically RP props. Maybe if you wait a few runs the prices will drop for them, too.

Hang on. T0 and T1 still flare, and the flare is a script. That means it's also blessable. So they're worth more because they're more versatile than a normal flaring weapon. Additionally, you can add flares to them making them double flaring weapons.

I think the unlocks are a bit expensive for T2 and T3.

They also drain you of health/mana on drawing them and on a flare, with flare drainings ending and the ability to absorb stuff back only starting at T2. Unless you have a health/mana battery they are supremely annoying at low tier.

Assuming you mean kroderine,
kroderine wrecks your mana down to 0/0, so adding mana won’t matter since you are “full” at 0.

Having 0 mana doesn't prevent the flare- you still lose the mana, and then you take stacking nerve damage.

Ah, I was confused. i thought it was a positive mana flare, like ensorcel.

If you go to -40 or so, you spirit death. I don't know if this will go that far down though?

You would have to be trying to get that low. And it's still probably not possible to go that low before your next pulse.
