I'm helping someone who is in a gtk2 install loop, I did a fresh install on one of my VMs and I'm having problems myself with the issue. Just starting to dig into it, if anyone has recently installed successfully on Windows, please let me know.

Well, I eventually got the installation fixed by ripping out the gems folder from a working installation. I haven't bothered to figure out which package specifically is causing my problem. Be interested to see if Ltlprprincess has any issues getting yours working.
