Please report back to moveon.org for further processing and refinement.
Suppose you have two people, let's call them Donald Trump and his son Donald Trump, and one of them moves from New York to Washington D.C., establishing residency there, and is therefore no longer eligible to vote in New York.
Joe Rollpurger comes along and says "aha! Donald Trump is no longer eligible to vote in New York, so I'll wipe this Donald Trump from the New York roll."
Jeff Rollpurger (no relation) comes along and says and does the same thing.
Donald Trump (the other one) says "but wait, unlike the other Donald Trump I am still a resident of New York, I should be allowed to vote."

There are two and only two possibilities from this point.

    1. They let him vote without checking him out, in which case the entire exercise was a pointless waste of time and money, or
    2. They require him to prove it by acquiring documentation and spending time to do so, which is disproportionately difficult for poor people, and so poor people are disenfranchised.

That Judicial Watch "study" has been debunked several times, btw.

First- Judicial Watch refused to turn over their actual evidence when asked.

Secondly- Judicial Watch included inactive voters in their tallies. Inactive voters are people whose voting materials were returned- typically because they died or moved. They're removed from the active voter tallies, btw. They're kept on the inactive list in case someone moves, forgot to register in their new location, and still wants to vote. it doesn't happen a lot, but it's part of an effort to preserve peoples' voting rights. The people on the inactive list don't count for anything- they're not included in turnout counts, they don't factor into signature requirements, don't get election mailings, etc.

So JW intentionally used an extraordinarily misleading number (inactive voters) and pretended it meant the opposite of what it actually means (i.e. they pretended that was part of the active voter tally) because they knew people like you would automatically assume it was something malicious.

I'm so super duper smart. I have a PhD in finger pointing and taught millions of people critical thinking.

So clearly this proves that Putin's name starts with a "P" and is therefore linked to Maddow's finger "p"ointing:

So clearly anyone who doesn't post 3 posts in a row, supports Hillary and who plays Gemstone on this forum should be able to see this. Otherwise you're a Trump supporter! It totally points out the following:

Ortega was a registered Republican who had been voting for more than a decade, he said. On her voter application, Ortega was faced with only two options — to mark herself as a ‘citizen’ or a ‘noncitizen’ — and didn’t know better, he added.
“She doesn’t know. She’s got this [green] card that says ‘resident’ on it, so she doesn’t mark that she’s not a citizen,” Birdsall said. “She had no ulterior motive beyond what she thought, mistakenly, was her civic duty.”
In 2015, Ortega applied to vote in Tarrant County, indicating on the form that she was not a citizen; her application was rejected, NBC DFW reported at the time. However, five months later, she filled out another form and claimed the second time that she was a citizen, the station reported. A subsequent investigation found she had voted when she wasn’t supposed to in Dallas County, the NBC affiliate reported.
A woman in Des Moines, Iowa has pleaded guilty to an election misconduct charge for trying to vote twice for President Trump in the 2016 presidential election, according to court documents.
Terri Lynn Rote, 57, pled guilty to the felony charge on June 27, for attempting to cast two separate ballots for then-Republican nominee Trump, CBS News reported on Saturday.

Rote was arrested at a satellite voting station in October when she tried to submit a second ballot.
Lawyers involved in the case are recommending up to two years of probation, in addition to community service, according to court documents.
In her statement to the police, Rote said she tried to vote twice because she believed Trump’s claims of a rigged election, and that her first vote would be changed to a vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Steve Curtis, a former chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, faces up to three years in prison after being convicted Thursday of voter fraud and forgery for signing his ex-wife’s ballot during the 2016 election, prosecutors say.
    ...
The Weld County District Attorney’s Office says court testimony during Curtis’ trial revealed that Kelly Curtis had moved to Charleston, S.C., in December 2015. When she called the county’s clerk and recorder to get her mail-in ballot, she was told she had already voted. Prosecutors found Curtis forged his ex-wife’s name on her ballot and mailed it in.
    Registered in two states
    • Steve Bannon, Mr. Trump’s strategist, was registered to vote in Florida and New York, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune found.
    • Tiffany Trump, Mr. Trump’s youngest daughter, was registered in Pennsylvania and New York, NBC News reported.
    • Sean Spicer, his press secretary, was registered in both Virginia and Rhode Island, according to The Washington Post.
    • Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and close adviser, was registered in New York and New Jersey, according to The Washington Post.
    • Steven Mnuchin, who is nominated to lead the Treasury Department, was registered in New York and California, CNN found.
    So there's this.

Gosh, what do they do when they move with things like their drivers license/ID, vehicle registration, utility bills, and other things that you typically have to spend time and resources and acquire documentation in order to do?

What do they do Latrin? Asking for my poor friend who's moving soon and doesn't know how he's going to get any of his information updated. He's also black, so I'm sure it will be at least twice as difficult for him, being oppressed and all.

What should he do when everything is so stacked against him? Help my friend out here Latrin.

I think his point is that the crushing gears of bureaucracy are imperfect. You can update your vehicle reg at your new DMV, but if your old DMV has bad title info and for whatever reason forgot to change things, you're gonna have a bad time.

You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.

Ya, its not easy for everyone. Heres what I experienced when real estate was crashing in Denver and I was a loan officer.

Over a period of time, making some moves, cleaning out the home office of paperwork, then finally getting my briefcase stolen with my passport and wallet, I found myself with no Identifying information. I had to rebuild it all.

A colorado driver license was impossible. I had to first get a passport. To do this I needed a social security card, birth certificate, utility bills, high school yearbook, military awards, photos and other stuff. Unbeknownst to me, I also had $175.00 in taxes I owed to the state of Ohio. Couldn't get a BC until that was paid.

To apply for a passport I made a portfolio to sit down and show someone who then judged that the preponderance of my evidence proved my identity. Then I applied, waited a month for it in the mail and was able to get a driver license.

While I'm jumping through hoops I was also job hopping to stay afloat. Some companies just folded overnight and I was broke as shit. I could barely afford to pay all the fees involved and was balancing bus fare vs. How many 7/11 hot dogs I could buy until my next check. Had to lean on my Dad for help.

When you're poor and making subsistence level decisions, things we take for granted can be insurmountable obstacles.

    What about this woman: http://cleveland.cbslocal.com/2014/0...y-from-prison/

It is not only conservatives that do it, and she did it multiple times for family members and only served one year in jail.

Fraud occurs, the reason that liberals do not want to do anything about it is because at least for now, it benefits them more to do nothing about it. I mean how can you know if fraud was committed in kalifornia when they give drivers licenses to everyone and that is the primary documentation to prove who you are.

I bet if a few million Cubans suddenly showed up in Florida voting conservative then the liberals would suddenly care about it.
