Best wizard spells for nelemar

I currently use major fire and get splash damage, but was wondering if other spells might be more mana efficient. I’m set up heavy water lore for enchanting, but have a few ranks in each other lore as well.

Steam seems to be pretty effective everywhere, and it would benefit from your water lore.

I primarily use 917/903(steam) but using 917 is heavily dependent on your wizard ranks. I've tried 904/906 and Tonis bolt (505) but steam seems to work just as well.

Steam is fine in Nelemar. I usually open with Immolate, and if they're still alive finish with minor steam.

917 will also rip apart any soft targets, usually even with low wizard ranks. Just stun and/or knock them over first if you have low wizard ranks and it'll probably work fine.
