-Trump's not a viable candidate
-Trump won't get the nomination anyway
-Trump won't win
-Trump will be surrounded by adults in the room/hire the best

Mattis is holed up in his pentagon and he can't do shit anyway. State Dept got fucked by trump and tillerson, now it'll get fucked more directly by trump. IMO, putting hopes on Mattis is misplaced. He's got no weight compared to his boss and trump has been picking off anyone who tells him "no".

We're witnessing a classic scenario here. The celebrity CEO. When he goes, there's wreckage left. The long term damage is monumental and everyday that passes makes it harder for us to eventually dig out.
