That's how the electoral college works. If it was the other way around and Trump won the popular vote but lost the electoral to Hillary you'd never shut the fuck up about how the system is working as intended and thank God that the founding fathers had such foresight to implement such a system and all that shit that you need to really just sit down and stfu about because you know I'm right.

The Electoral College worked exactly as intended. It was designed to prevent a regional demagogue from taking over the national election. Eliminating the Electoral College would make the votes of something like 13 (I forgot the exact number but I think 12 is about right) states invalid if LA county votes as a block. This would lend the nation to going the way of California into the shithole of popular vote stupidity run by a very few people controlled out of a few central cities. Your failure of civics is glaring. The problem was Hillary was a shit candidate, she was a pompous and self important ass and was so arrogant that she failed to campaign in some paces that she assumed would vote for her.

Now this may not be as much of a "problem" (I don't think it's a problem because I am not nearly as much of a sore loser as Liberal/Socialists) in the future due to a lot of state legislatures and governors signing a semi-clandestine and underhanded agreement to assign the electors of the state to whoever wins the national popular vote. This would instantly disenfranchise that states opposition voters and seriously undermine our Republic. Of course it is really popular in Liberal controlled states, some of which have passed laws to make it binding. Talk about national election tampering on a grand scale, this is it. Government is ran by people, people can't be trusted by nature therefore it's not possible for a government to be trusted. In every case the use of government is the turning over of ones sovereignty, the larger the government the more stagnant it's subjects will have become.
