Thread: item description question

  1. Default item description question

When someone is selling an item, for example, "It has been temporarily enhanced." what does that refer to? Can the crit weighting be temporary? Any clarification is greatly appreciated!

It imparts a bonus of +18 more than usual.
It is weighted to inflict more critical blows.
It provides a bonus of 2 to Aura Bonus.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 13 times.
The star looks to have more than your average giantman could count charges remaining.
    It has been temporarily enhanced.
It's enhancement will degrade when it scores a successful strike.
It should have an incredible amount of uses left before the enhancement degrades away completely.
When it's enhancement has degraded away, the item will lose its special ability.
It will persist after its last charge is depleted.
It appears to weigh about 7 pounds.

It requires skill in blunt weapons to use effectively.
It has been mainly crafted out of vaalorn.

Yes, that is referring to the crit weighting on the item.

    Not to be confused with
The star looks to have more than your average giantman could count charges remaining.
which is referring to the stat/skill enhancives of the item.

Notice "charges remaining" versus "amount of uses". Also, an item won't sing as "It has been temporarily enhanced." for stat/skill enhancives. That always refers to (at least one of) the special abilities of an item. (Sometimes an item will have both a temporary enhancement and a permanent one. That is not the case in the one you posted.)

Thanks for the clarification! If i was going to spend the money for a crit weighted weapon, I wanted to be sure its permanent and not temporary.
