I have a 38 warmage ranged that I am debating doing TWC. It's super point intensive but I think I can barebolts pull it off. Was going to go GoS (currently CoL master) because I have a grimbane flaring weapon and perfect weapon.

Has anyone played with TWC? If so, thoughts?

With the high costs I can picture a lot of underhunting but do-able.

My little 40 mage hunts shan Wizards/Clerics/Rangers with 917. I hunt empty handed to avoid being disarmed, and use wracking if necessary.

909 (stomp), 917, 516 (if they don't die instantly), and 917 again in those rare cases the first 917 didn't kill them.

Attunement and lores don't really matter in this hunting case. I do train him for spell aim and such, but bolting was boring me and I instant kill targets probably 50% of the time with 917. If you're hunting something a little less squishy, you'll need bolts though. Heavy armor, or durable (like stone critters) and such will always be harder to kill with the wizard CS or SmR attacks.

Depending on your level and the creature I've actually found 502 to be a very effective hunting spell rather than a setup.

Figured that out in rotting corpses. They're rather difficult to bolt mama-effectively, but 502 destroys them in only a few casts.
