We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men. Edward R. Murrow
He can't be punished. He can be expelled. They are two separate clauses, the "for" prepositional phrase only applies to the first just like the "with" prepositional phrase only applies to the second.
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.
I have a skillet, a plunger for plunging the toilet, and, with simply fabulous style, nail polish remover.
That sentence does not indicate I plunge the toilet with nail polish remover.None of the 20 members of Congress ever expelled for any reason ever ran for Congress again, let alone were re-elected, let alone served. Someone's giving you bad information.Infact, a member of congress has been expelled for disorderly behavior before. They got reelected right back in. Did Congress try to expel them again? Sure as fuck didn't.
Hasta pronto, porque la vida no termina aqui...
America, stop pushing. I know what I'm doing.
