I’m still working on the formatting and parameters, but essentially it is who can take the biggest hit from a given damage type and still survive the encounter. Feedback is encouraged.

New Boil is 10x worse than Old Boil. It's pretty much a death sentence if it hits, unless you have crazy good gear and every spell in the book.
You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.

The wounded child is tiny in size.
The child should prove to be a difficult challenge for you.

^^This. It's why Arch Wights are almost empty always by people who are within their level range. The critter developer has absolutely no idea what he's doing and I'm sure he'll make some asinine defense if he's confronted , "Bu bu but da NuMburss!!"

Yup. It took an open endroll. I actually survived the whole first cast, but another wight cast again which is what killed me. Stunned and on the ground.

New or old boil arch wights have always been a bad beat hunt. Just like hunting the spider temple. Not all hunting grounds at any given level should be a cake walk. Both have good treasure and there are also plenty of other options at that level.

Not to mention they reduced the potency of 917 from creatures under a certain level range(25 I think). But old vs new it's just like spike thorn, your either going to be oh man I survived that or insta-death. But back on topic. Great seeing the new achievement and I look forward to seeing some big hits being taken.

I remember reading that, but in practice I never noticed a difference. Wights regularly one-shotted my characters (even ones 20+ levels above them) when I hunted their areas.

Boil, along with other insta-death maneuvers, stacking RT, and disarm mechanics, is firmly in the No Fun Allowed category.

Creatures need to be able to kill us. I'm not sure what the best method is for them doing so and we still finding the fun. Stacked into RT and being slowly pecked to death isn't too much more fun than being 1 shotted by a 101 endroll and a flare, or Earthen Fury'd. I guess an ideal situation revolves around risk mitigation. When you fail to mitigate that risk largely due to negligence on your part, you are typically given an opportunity with a mid-high % chance to escape death.

I don't like instakills. I mean, I understand it is realistic to beable to die without having anything to do about it, but this is fantasy, it is supposed to be unrealistic. If you aren't prepared for an area, sure, you should suffer, but I just find it cheap that some creatures you can't really do much about. I did always like hunting the Arch Wights wearing metal breastplate though, most of their casts are hindered.
