Roy Moore may turn out to be the most exciting Senator elected in 50 years. He has written that Muslims who are elected to Congress should not be seated. He wants a national constitutional convention to define marriage correctly. He's been twice removed for misconduct as a judge on the Alabama Supreme Court, which suggests he will push the rules in the Senate. And he's a poet, in case you didn't know it.

After Trump gave a speech in Alabama supporting Moore's opponent, Moore shot up in the polls. In an unusual move, Trump has deleted his Tweets in support of Moore's opponent. Moore still has to win in the general election. But that's just a formality.

Moore's victory is a signal that we don't have to let the elite members of the GOP choose our candidates. The Moore model can be replicated throughout the country in 2018.
