Hard to say how retarded Simu is being without knowing the details. If someone figured out who plays a character, tracked down their facebook and started harassing/threatening them, then yeah, that should result in a ban. Telling someone to fuck off on the forums/twitter/facebook should not. Based on Simu's track record it's probably the latter, but who knows.

You would think since Simu tells people to use WARN INTERACT over in game harassment, they'd suggest using the block feature if someone was harrassing them on fb. But it's Simu so there's that.

What ever do you mean, that he shouldn't have to teach people common sense? While I'm questioning quite a few of the decisions and directions everything is going. It pretty much is common sense not to stalk and mess with someone. I guess if you wouldn't do it to your old mean boss or your ex boyfriend or girlfriend for fear of retribution you shouldn't do it to a stranger either... same idea?

That's not really the right comparison. This harassment came from and to people who were initially connected by their game. They apparently feel some responsibility since their service is what created the connection between people that eventually became harassing behavior, and they don't want to continue to allow the harassing party to make connections with other people through their service that might also eventually turn into harassment. That's not wholly unreasonable, even if there are lots of questions about where the lines should be drawn.

It isn't their job or responsibility. It is the job of wherever that harassment occurs. Harassment on FB, that person should use the BLOCK function and notify FB. They can't even look at legit, unaltered logs of this. "I super promise you this chat log hasn't been altered, super promise! Ban this dud, he keeps bugging me, thank you!"
