It's still a price increase but it's not a massive one (3~35$ more) and you have a choice to piecemeal it. So.. all in all I think it's a wash.

It seems like they just finished another cash grab a few days ago and now they are announcing another cash grab? Jesus.
I'd have to say, this one doesn't seem nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. So, blow 80 on one account to have everything, then 30 on the rest for merchant/raffles. You'd come out ahead compared to previous years.

These seashells will be useful for a handful of shops at Ebon Gate (similar to Delirium), as well as some services.
This part is worrisome. You mean all the permabless/claid weighting/rotflare services? or the shop with the 10x stuff?
And then I think of the amount of money blown on a text game and realize no, you never come out ahead.

Unless they jacked the digging and put shit in it and put all the 'good stuff' behind a seashell paywall.
Considering they specify a raffle pass on a weekly basis this leads me to believe they are going to do different raffles/services every week in order to get people to buy multiple passes, so that could increase the price for those who want to get in on every raffle/service.
But if the raffles/services don't change every week then one pass should be all you need, depending on how they deal with lines and drawings and shit.
But there's the whole seashell/bloodscript angle to this year's EG too.
