Best duskruin 20x/day for each class?

We only come across so many of those... and unlimited casts of a 16th level spell is still not assured even with 252 ranks.

917 was rather disappointing (level 100, 202 ranks MIU, 30 ranks earth lore.)

In the scatter (cerebralite, crawler, siphon, master), I generally had around a 30-55% chance to connect with the initial cast, but then needed an open roll to hit with any of the follow-up rounds.

Making them stunned/prone first helped a lot, of course. I had a ~150 margin on the initial cast vs a fetish master, and about 35% chance on the follow-up shots. Against a similarly disabled siphon, a ~105 margin and ~30% change on follow-up shots.

Immolation is has decidedly workable endroll margins for landing a hit, but with a low-to-decent endroll, the results were hardly inspiring. (no fire lore here)

I find bind quite usable, though I have a fairly beefed-up MjS CS, for a non-native caster - higher than at least one native caster, apparently.

With 202 MIU, Dark Elf with 140 wisdom (50 bonus), and a quart orb rubbed, I have a 485 MjS CS.

I ended up asking myself, "What is bloodscrip for, if not lulz?" This lead me to purchase bind, immolate, and earthen fury, not long before closing. I only just now had a full hunt with them, in OTF (including OTF north).

214+917 is looking quite effective. (214+720 and 708+917 are nice, too.)
I'm connecting just about all the time with 519. It's doing decent-if-not-OP damage.

None of that is really surprising, I guess. But what I hadn't fully thought through is that 20x/day feels like more than I expected. I believe I could fry more than once with a single set of charges on these three wands. And so while 519 is hardly more effective the 705, casts of 519 cost me no mana at all, and that's pretty handy.

This sort of goes back to gilchristr's point about the wands being a great mana battery. No doubt I'd get more done if I had put a 719 wand in my sorcerer's hand instead, but I think the novelty of outside spells wins out for me.

Have to agree about the wands as mana batteries. I bought a 616 one for when my ranger is out of mana or too injured to cast. Also bought a 410 to help with crowd control.

You'll still trigger the shroud with the 410 pin in a warcamp, right?

Oh, and one substantial downside: the wands don't trigger any runestaff flares. It's a little rough to miss out on ensorcell or a standard flare, though in my case it's a more substantial difference - no giant rotflare. I find myself doing a wave of the wands and then a single cast of 702 (or even 701) to trigger ~100 rotflare damage to finish things off.

First world problem, I guess.
