@Mogonis, are you going to start padding yours? I'm waiting 2 more months until i have enough PP to buy HCP, then ill start with smithy services.

No, probably not. If you're padding from nothing to heavy, PPs are the way to go (if you can find them).

No, it doesn’t. The amount of weighting/padding on the item is not a factor. All factors being the same, the 1st service costs the same as the 5000th service, if no surcharge is added for multiple services during a 60 day service window. But if you price adding damage weighting when the item has critical weighing, the latter is a factor for the price (and vice versa).

I take it to mean that whatever padding or weighting you have doesn't matter. It is all the mechanically beneficial scripts and enchant that add to the price.

If you do nothing but pad/weight the item those price quotes will last you until 5000 services.

Yah makes sense. So that would mean its best to start with a blank slate, high enchant piece, and then add as much padding as you can/want until finally adding your functional script like ithzir/voln.
