Maybe Marines call things differently over there, but in the Army it's not considered a campaign medal. It was replaced in some instances BY a campaign medal, but is not one itself.

You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.
Actually, it is considered an "expeditionary" medal, heh, like it is called. Still above a service medal and it is a valid medal for being allowed into the VFW. And all I was saying is that you actually have to go somewhere to get it, as opposed to the GWoTSM where you just get it automatically 90 or whatever days after you get out of training.
In the Marine Corps, it was hard as fuck to get a GWoTEM because we generally never went to GWoT areas without going into Iraq or Afghan, and if you get the OIF/OEF... You don't get the GWoTEM.

Why does Luftstrekrafte have such a crush on Gelston lately?
It's so cute.
We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men. Edward R. Murrow
Freedom... is the ability to challenge yourself far beyond the constraints of traditional rule and order. We draw strength from our passions... we're driven by desire... even hatred can be a worthy ally when used against an enemy... and yet, we are told to turn our backs on these things... the very feelings, emotions... that make us all... human.
