I'm uncertain who deleted it, deletions tend not to be in logs, because the objects simply don't exist anymore... I saw Alastir and Vishra both in there last I saw it still existed. Beyond that, dunno.

This is what I'm wondering. If anyone in the group can delete said group then it makes sense that it was Vishra or Alastir, because let's get real. If only certain people can delete a group (like the person who created it or mods) then we're left with believing that PB himself deleted the group because he couldn't bear the thought of Vishra or Alastir being in his group, or a mod deleted the group because the name was triggering people. I know which one I'm more apt to believe given those two choices.
