Same argument can be said for Bards though.
I think there is a misconception on monks. The TD is a problem but can be mitigated to a certain extent.

Yeah... it's so sick you'll use it until around level 50 or 60 at which time you'll be absolutely sick of it.

I kind of figured that. I'm just surprised anyone that knows the pre-we're-moving-towards-an-attrition-based-combat-model-starting-and-ending-with-sorcerers-nerf version would refer to it that way.

Yeah, the game loses a lot of appeal at that point for people who are brand new to the game, especially MUDs in general.
