Thread: Russia Investigation Heating Up

We already have collusion. The Don Jr meeting and the resulting coverup concocted by the president on Air Force One. Beyond that we have impeachable offenses by the president. His consistent defense of putin while attacking basically everyone else in the world, despite his intelligence community saying that Russia attacked even hacked our elections. There's a gross dereliction of duty here, a collaboration that doesn't require a smoking gun. Along those lines we have the trump led government doing nothing to protect us from this happening again. That's his job. It's pretty basic and fundamental to being president. He won't even allow the overwhelmingly bi partisan sanctions.

And let's not forget trump publicly calling for the Russians to hack Hillary, for WikiLeaks to do their thing. Remember this, "I love wikilieaks". He got out on the campaign trail and encouraged espionage against the USA.

The only response the right has is to say that Mueller's been investigating since May 2017 and there's no evidence of collusion. Obviously that's a bullshit argument. The investigation is still occurring. They know it's bullshit so why are they saying it and why are their minions carrying this torch? This also highlights the obstruction of justice case and the interference the GOP is running, the counter attacks they are pre-emptively hitting Mueller with. The Nunes bullshit memo.

Like the family values preacher who gets busted banging little boys, it's the wrapped in the flag, support the troops type of American who's loudest in defense of trump. It makes me sick.

Collusion cannot exist without illegal activities, because in it of itself is illegal.

Oh do we? go ahead and tell Mueller to charge them already, since you've already cracked the case and know the most.

Show me the federal law stating collusion is a crime. I'll wait.

You could start by reading the definition of collusion.

    Don't forget this bit:

Jared Kushner and Russia’s ambassador to Washington discussed the possibility of setting up a secret and secure communications channel between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin, using Russian diplomatic facilities in an apparent move to shield their pre-inauguration discussions from monitoring, according to U.S. officials briefed on intelligence reports.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak reported to his superiors in Moscow that Kushner, son-in-law and confidant to then-President-elect Trump, made the proposal during a meeting on Dec. 1 or 2 at Trump Tower, according to intercepts of Russian communications that were reviewed by U.S. officials. Kislyak said Kushner suggested using Russian diplomatic facilities in the United States for the communications.

Foreign policy experts and former officials told The Washington Post such a request of the Russians would be inappropriate unless carefully coordinated with the Obama administration, which was in office at the time. They said any secret communications could have left Kushner vulnerable to manipulation by Russian officials.

Kushner’s meeting with Kislyak was not initially disclosed when Trump’s son-in-law sought a security clearance. Media reports revealed the meeting, along with another private session Kushner had with a representative of a Russian bank.

“If you’re going to create a back channel that relies solely on the Russian communications and apparatus, that’s a really serious issue,” said Mark Lowenthal, a former assistant director at the CIA. “That’s extremely dangerous.”

I think it's worth recognizing that we don't know what charges will be brought, what the words on the indictment will read. Obviously there's already lying to the FBI. I don't know the word for that or the legal language to describe it.

Collusion is not just the charge people are laying at Trumps feet it's also a catch all to account for nefarious actions by the trump campaign. Arguing about collusion is like arguing Kleenex vs. a tissue to try to say you didn't sneeze. Only by being willfully ignorant and willing to stand by your man at all costs can one get lost in the weeds like this.

I haven't seen anything that said Hillary was being supported by Russians. A recent indictment claims that Stein and Sanders were helped, but it seems to have been a concerted effort to keep Clinton out of the White House.
You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.

Oh ya, The whole thing stinks to high heaven. They also have a weird thing where they meet with foreign leaders without taking an American interpreter. Trump did it with Putin and Tillerson just did it with Erdogan. One has to ask, "Whose side ARE they on?"

Exactly. The Russians did anything as long as it hurt Hillary.
