I'm not into conspiracy theories so Ill wait to see what happens but I'm not convinced Russia didn't directly hack enough votes to tip it. Its also weird that trump focused on those razor thin margin states. Shit, its really weird that every poll and all of Wall Street had it wrong too.

Like I said; we'll just have to see what happens, but I am skeptical.

I'm firmly convinced that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia (Again, I'm not buying that it's coincidence that Trump keeps trying to undo Russian sanctions and won't enforce the ones they can't undo), but I haven't seen anything that would convince me that vote tallies were changed.

I don't think I spend as much time reading up on this stuff as other people in this thread- so maybe there's something out there I just haven't seen. But I feel like if there were any real evidence, we'd all have heard of it.

This. I haven't seen any talk on the election machines being hacked directly, though, I wonder if that's something they would disclose to the public, for security reasons. Note that the technical aspects of hacking those machines isn't far fetched. At DEFCON last year all the voting machines were hacked within 30 minutes of them opening up the contest.

If they changed the vote tallies it probably wont ever be let known. Its simply too incindieary.

They sure don't seem to have done anything to stop it happening though. We may have hit Peak Republic in 2012. Form here on out we slide into faux democracy with essentially one party rule. Without a big dem showing in the mid terms we are sunk.

Pence only takes office if he isn't caught up in the scandal. You should be going all in on impeachment before the midterms, worst case scenario you'll get President Ryan.If Congressional Democrats repeat their 2016 election performance in 2018 they will control the Senate. If they repeat the 2006 midterms (i.e. the last midterms under a Republican President) they will also control the House.

Also consider that the Democrats controlled the Presidency and both Houses of Congress for 14 years in the mid 20th century and the Republicans survived just fine. The only linear change in American politics is becoming more socially liberal and more centralized power, everything else goes in cycles. Capitalism/socialism, Republican/Democrat, round and round and round they go.

Pence is a good Christian, unlikely he was a part of anything, if there is a thing to be a part of.

Totally agree with your pendulum analogy. Obviously the best way to get the momentum to swing back in your direction is to move ones policy back to center.

It's going to take a lot for the Democrats to gain the blue collar vote back, impeachment proceedings will drive that voting block even further away.
