Haven't read the book yet but I do know his goal wasn't to investigate any collusion.
John McLaughlin, former Deputy Director and acting Director of the CIA had this to say about Trump declassifying information regarding an ongoing investigation..
"This probably qualifies as the President’s most serious assault on the Justice system yet. Wrong on so many levels for Justice, law-enforcement, intelligence. If he forces it all the way through, it ought to be a resignation issue for someone in Justice. Maybe Trump’s intention?"
This has already been explained. He wasn't there to investigate collusion nor did he speak with any of the big players involved in it like I mentioned. If the sole purpose of his book was to investigate the 2016 election and what happened before and after that would be a completely different story.
DOJ and FBI are going to redact the documents Trump has requested.
That's good to see though I'm discouraged that trump keeps nibbling away at it to try to cover his ass. Obviously it'd be best for the country if he quit attacking our security services and crying about things being, "Unfair" like a toddler. Now he's whining about Sessions again saying, "I don't have an attorney general." Which begs the question; what does trump think his AG does? Sessions job isn't to protect trump but that little nuance is lost on trumps enablers.
