Because Reid already opened Pandora's box when he invoked the nuclear option for appointments when Democrats controlled the Senate. If Republicans just sit on their hands and play "fair" when they are in charge but allow the Democrats to run roughshod over them when they are in control then Republicans are stupid.

McConnell has done more damage to the Senate in the last 10 years than the previous 200. His outlook has become short-term, and his respect for the institution takes a back seat to his own ambition.

Though I wasn't exactly thrilled with some of Reed's work either.
    Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

You seriously are so far up the Democrats ass that you literally can't see a thing.

Why don't you tell us exactly what McConnell has done in the last 10 years that did more damage to the Senate than the inception of it.

Also, why don't you tell us exactly what Reed did that you were just the slightest bit upset about......

These guys seem to think the constitution is strictly a delivery device for "...the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The rest of all those words can simply be ignored. Kind of like christians and their inconvenient little book.

“We hope to issue this week a new directive on asset forfeiture — especially for drug traffickers,” Sessions said in his prepared remarks for a speech to the National District Attorney's Association in Minneapolis. "With care and professionalism, we plan to develop policies to increase forfeitures. No criminal should be allowed to keep the proceeds of their crime. Adoptive forfeitures are appropriate as is sharing with our partners."

What happened to the anti big government conservatives?

(CNN)Attorney General Jeff Sessions unveiled new changes on Wednesday to part of the Justice Department's civil asset forfeiture program.
The controversial practice allows the federal government to coordinate with state and local officials to seize cash, drugs, guns and other assets from suspects before they have been convicted of a crime

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, vice-chair of the Election Integrity Commission, questioned the legitimacy of Donald Trump's victory in the 2016 presidential election on Wednesday.
The commission, created by the administration to investigate Trump's now-debunked claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2016 election, has been scrutinized following its request of states for personal voter data and criticized by some as an attempt to restrict voting rights.

The recording is from the afternoon of Jan. 24, when the officer, Richard Pinheiro, was standing in the trash-strewn backyard of a row house along with two other officers. At the start of the footage, Pinheiro is seen holding a soup can with a clear plastic bag stuffed into it. He then places the can among rubbish, before leading the other officers out of the narrow access alley.

On the sidewalk, Pinheiro activates his body-cam — apparently unaware that the device would also preserve his earlier actions. "Police cameras have a feature that saves the 30 seconds of video before activation, but without audio," The Baltimore Sun reports.
