While still not a great behavior, I have (limited) patience for protective instinct and defensive behaviors against strangers. I've worked with dogs with all sorts of issues of food/dog/stranger/bicycle aggression, but getting attacked because I was eating an apple in another room is dumb AF and it's a trick I've only seen performed by pig. That one god damn pig.

When I got my new dog, the people there had a massive pig. He just wandered around at will. They feed him apples while I was there and he never got aggressive or anything.
