Traveler, blah blah, space wizards get woken up and you must be the hero. It's literally the most generic story of all time.

Yes and no.

Technically there is a plot, but its not in game really. there are grimore cards and the story and plot was found on them, but just playing through the game didnt really have one. One of the changes they are making is to get rid of those cards and incorporate the story into the game.
